Cruisin Classics is proud to offer our latest arrival that will have all of you Mopar fans on the edge of your seat – this 1970 Plymouth Duster 340! This beauty is dressed in it's original color of Lime Green Metallic with longitudinal black stripes down the sides. The paint is slick and has a very nice gloss. It features the 1970-only Valiant badge above the Duster logo on the front fenders as well as the "Plymouth" logo-type on the front of the hood. The chrome bumpers, gas cap, and drip rails are all in excellent condition and really pop in the daylight. The Duster sits on body color painted steel wheels with "Plymouth Division" embossed hubcaps. BF Goodrich Radial TA's put the rubber to the road. Under the hood is an extremely clean engine bay that houses the 5.6 liter 340 V-8. This engine was cast in 1973 and does not have a VIN stamp – leading us to believe that it could be a warranty replacement or service replacement block. The engine features a 650cfm Holley Brawler 4 barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock Torker intake manifold, MSD ignition, and long-tube headers with 2 1/2" dual exhaust with Turbo mufflers and chrome tips. Power flows through a numbers matching Chrysler A727 automatic transmission to an 8 3/4" posi-traction rear end with 3:55 gears. Stopping power is applied through manual front disc and rear drum brakes. This Duster was born with a bench seat but now features more desirable, period-correct bucket seats finished in black vinyl and matching the rear seat. The interior is in very good condition with a crack-free dash, nice black carpet, and a tight headliner. On the dash you'll find the Rallye Instrument Cluster package as well as an aftermarket tachometer mounted below. All of the gauges and interior lights work as they should, as do the 2-speed wipers, heat and defrost, and Sony AM/FM/Cassette Stereo. Around back you'll find a clean and tidy trunk housing the original jack. If Mopars are your favorite flavor you know just what a cool and hard to find example this Duster is! Don't wait to give us a call about this one, it surely won't be here for long!
