    Description

    Antique Davenport Ironstone Sauce Tureen With Under Plate.
    This is a beautiful Davenport white Ironstone sauce tureen with underplate. Both pieces are embossed with the English Registry Diamond mark. The under-plate has a mark that indicates it was made in 1852. The tureen’s mark indicates it was made in 1859. Although the pieces are the same pattern , they were not the original set.
    The set is adorned with a fig pattern and is in good condition. There is age related crazing throughout the set , some small spots of discoloration and and two marks on the inside. See photos. This is a lovely set and it is getting harder to find these tureens with the matching under-plate. A great addition to any collection !
