Description

Original vintage limited print. Linenbacked and in near mint condition. There is very minor paper loss from where silverfish ate the paper, but this can be restored. See last three photos- Letter D, Upper top border, and arm. This poster was a gift by the printer and has been in a private collection since. Very rare to find these. Selling as is, sorry no refunds will ship in tube, with insurance, and signature confirmation. Size is very large: 72 x 55.  The linenbacking cost was 0.

I don't consider this a reproduction even though it was done in the early 1990's for a 1930's film, as it was produced using printing techniques that were used in the 1930's when the original was printed. The poster is a true recreation and shows flaws such as tears and stains that were in the original copied.
When the original was produced in the 1920's or 30's it was produced as a two part panel. When this recreation was done in the 1990's they wanted to show every imperfection in the original they copied.  The original poster has sold for over ,000.
