An impressive Vista Alegre "Fontainebleu" porcelain tureen with underplate, made in Portugal. Features swags and floral details in blue and gold. Tureen measures approx. 9"h x 12.5"l x 8.25"w, underplate approx. 2"h x 16.25"l x 12"w, and when combined approx. 9.5"h 16.25"l x 12"w. The lid displays substantial damage with a hole, several chips, and several hairlines, but otherwise the tureen and underplate display only minimal wear, such as light surface scuffs/scratches, some isolated spots of faint finish wear, and felt pads and felt pad residue to the underplate underside - see pictures. Tureen and underplate undersides stamped with "VA Portugal" hallmarks.
